Warranty

We back our work. Our warranty has three layers — covering the tank we build, the work we do, and the equipment we supply. Here's exactly what's covered, for how long.

1. Custom tank warranty — up to 10 years (sometimes lifetime)

Every aquarium custom-built by Aquozy comes with a 10-year structural warranty on the tank itself. For select premium builds, we extend this to a lifetime warranty — discussed and agreed at the time of quote.

The custom tank warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in glass, joints, or silicone seals
  • Tank leaks at silicone bonds made by us
  • Cracks or structural failure not caused by external impact or misuse
  • Cabinet/stand structural integrity (where built by us)

The warranty period applies from the date of installation. We will repair or replace the affected tank free of charge for any covered defect during this period.

What's not covered under the tank warranty:

  • Damage from external impact — drops, knocks, falling objects, accidents
  • Damage caused by unauthorised modifications, repairs, or relocation by others
  • Damage from operating outside specified parameters (overheating, freezing, structural overload from inappropriate decor)
  • Cosmetic wear — minor scratches, mineral deposits, fading from sustained UV exposure
  • Off-the-shelf tanks not manufactured by us (those carry the original manufacturer's warranty only)

2. Installation workmanship guarantee — 30 days

For installation work — plumbing, wiring, equipment fitting, hardscape placement, sump assembly, cabinet finishing — we offer a 30-day workmanship guarantee from the date of installation completion.

If anything we did during installation fails or develops issues within 30 days, we will fix it at no charge. This includes:

  • Plumbing leaks at fittings we installed
  • Equipment loose or seated incorrectly
  • Wiring or electrical work done by our team
  • Substrate or hardscape collapse from our placement
  • Cabinet or stand instability from our assembly

3. Equipment warranty — Aquozy courtesy cover

Most aquarium equipment sold in the Indian market does not come with a formal manufacturer warranty. Where a specific product does carry one — typically on premium or imported brands — we will:

  • Highlight which products carry manufacturer cover at the point of sale
  • Pass on the manufacturer's warranty terms in writing
  • Provide you with the original invoice and serial details
  • Assist in raising any warranty claim with the brand on your behalf

In addition — and regardless of whether manufacturer cover exists — Aquozy provides our own 1-month courtesy warranty on every piece of equipment purchased from us:

  • For 30 days after installation, if any equipment we supplied stops working under normal use, we will repair or replace it at no charge.
  • This courtesy cover is our gesture as a service partner — it exists because the wider market doesn't reliably offer this protection, and we believe our customers deserve better.
  • Beyond 30 days, products with manufacturer cover are claimed through the brand (we'll help you). Products without manufacturer cover can be repaired as a paid service.

Equipment courtesy warranty does not cover:

  • Equipment customers source themselves and we only install
  • Damage from incorrect operation (heater run dry, filter starved of water, lights submerged when not rated for it)
  • Damage from power surges, voltage fluctuations, or electrical faults outside the equipment
  • Cosmetic damage or normal wear (impeller wear, bulb dimming over time, etc.)

What's never covered

Across all three warranty layers:

  • Health, illness, or death of fish, plants, or any living organisms (see Fish Mortality Policy)
  • Algae growth, biofilm, or routine cleaning needs
  • Damage from environmental factors — power outages, water supply interruptions, flooding, fire
  • Issues caused by unauthorised work, modifications, or relocation by others
  • Wilful damage, neglect, or operation contrary to written guidance

How to claim

  1. Contact us at hello@aquozy.com or via WhatsApp with your booking reference (AQ-2026-XXXX).
  2. Send photos and a brief description of the issue.
  3. We will inspect within 3-5 working days and confirm whether the issue is covered.
  4. If covered, we will remediate at no charge under the relevant warranty layer. If not, we will explain why and offer a paid repair quote if you'd like us to fix it.

Beyond the warranty period

After warranty periods expire, we are still happy to help. Repairs, refurbishments, modifications, and ongoing support are available as paid services at standard rates. Existing customers receive priority scheduling.
