Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Aquozy's website and services. By booking a service or using our platform, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About our services
Aquozy provides aquarium maintenance, new aquarium setup, paludarium setup, and related services in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. The exact scope of work for each booking is confirmed during quote / acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract to use our services.
3. Bookings & quotes
- Bookings made via our website are requests for service; they become confirmed when our team accepts and (where applicable) you have paid the required deposit.
- Maintenance bookings must be made at least 3–4 days in advance to allow us to schedule a technician for your slot.
- New setup and paludarium quotes will be sent to you within 48 hours of your request. In some cases, a site visit may be required before we can finalise the quote — we will inform you if this is needed. Quotes are valid for 7 days from issue.
- Maintenance pricing is published on our website and may be revised from time to time; the price applicable is the one in effect at the time you confirm the booking.
- We reserve the right to decline any booking, particularly if the location is outside our serviceable area or the requested work is outside our expertise.
4. Payment
- Maintenance services — payable after service delivery via UPI or cash to our technician.
- New setup and paludarium services — payable in three milestones: 50% on booking confirmation (covers custom tank fabrication and equipment ordering), 40% on installation day before work begins, 10% on completion after the cycling phase.
- All payments are accepted via UPI or cash. Refunds, where applicable, are made via UPI.
- You agree to pay all amounts due in full when each milestone or final payment is invoked.
5. Non-payment of completion balance
If the final 10% completion payment for a new tank setup is not made when due, the following process applies:
- Days 1-7 — friendly reminders. We will send reminders via WhatsApp and email asking you to clear the balance.
- Days 8-30 — account hold. Your account will be flagged with an outstanding balance. New bookings of any kind (maintenance, setup, consultation) cannot be confirmed until the outstanding amount is cleared.
- Day 30+ — resolution. Our admin team will review the case and may attempt one final personal contact. Outstanding balances remain payable. The unpaid record will remain in your customer history regardless of any subsequent write-off at our discretion.
Disputes. If you have a genuine concern about the quality of completed work, please contact us within 14 days of completion. We will review the issue, offer a remedy where appropriate (free follow-up visit, partial credit, or full waiver if our work was at fault), and only proceed with the non-payment process if the dispute cannot be resolved fairly.
6. Cancellation, rescheduling & refunds
Detailed terms are in our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy. In summary:
- Maintenance bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled slot.
- Setup deposits become non-refundable once equipment has been ordered on your behalf.
- Refunds, where applicable, are processed via UPI transfer within 3–5 working days of approval.
7. Customer obligations
To enable us to deliver our service safely and effectively, you agree to:
- Provide accurate contact details and service address.
- Ensure our technician has reasonable, safe access to your premises during the agreed slot.
- Disclose any relevant information about your tank, fish, water source, or environment that may affect service.
- Treat our staff with respect and provide a safe working environment.
- Pay agreed amounts as they fall due.
8. Warranty
We offer a layered warranty: 10 years on custom-built tanks (sometimes lifetime), 30 days workmanship on installation, and 1-month courtesy cover on equipment purchased from us. None of these cover the health or survival of fish, plants, or other living organisms. See our Warranty page and Fish Mortality Policy for full detail.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability arising from any single booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of fish, plants, or sentimental value.
10. Photo & content consent
If you opt in during booking, we may photograph your tank for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. See our Photo Consent policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@aquozy.com.
11. Intellectual property
All content on our website — text, images, logos, design — is the property of Aquozy and protected by Indian and international copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without written permission.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to make payment, or behave abusively toward our staff. You may stop using our services at any time; outstanding payments remain due.
13. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
