Photo & Content Consent

We sometimes love sharing the work we've done — beautiful aquariums, clever installations, before-and-after transformations. But we never publish your tank photos without your explicit permission. This policy explains how that consent works.

Opt-in by default

When you book a service, you'll see a clearly-labelled checkbox titled "Allow Aquozy to use photos of my tank for marketing". This box is unchecked by default. We only use photos for public purposes if you explicitly tick it.

What we use photos for (with consent)

• Our website gallery and case studies
• Social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
• Marketing materials — brochures, ads, presentations
• Examples shown to potential customers in pre-sale conversations

What we do NOT use photos for

• Selling, licensing, or transferring to any third party
• Identifying you personally — your name, address, and contact details are never published alongside the image
• Misleading claims (e.g. presenting your tank as a different customer's work)

What photos we may take

During service visits, our technician may photograph:

• The aquarium and its inhabitants
• Decor, hardscape, planted layouts
• Equipment installations
• Before-and-after comparisons (especially around maintenance and setup)

We will not photograph your home interior, family members, or anything outside the immediate aquarium area without your explicit permission for that specific photo.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent at any time:

• Email hello@aquozy.com with the subject line "Withdraw Photo Consent".
• We will remove photos identifiably from your tank from our website and active social media within 14 working days.
• Photos already used in printed materials, archival posts, or third-party caches (e.g. Google Image search) may take longer to disappear or may persist outside our control.

Your rights under DPDPA

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, photos that can identify you or your specific premises constitute personal data. You have the right to:

• Access any photos we hold of your premises
• Correct or update associated information
• Request deletion (see "Withdrawing consent" above)
• Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see Privacy Policy)

Photos we publish without consent

We do not publish customer-identifiable tank photos without consent. Generic photos taken at our workshop, our team at work, equipment close-ups, and tanks where the customer has explicitly waived identification are exceptions.
